my daily salad | ep. 31 🥗 if youve been loving (or hating??? lmk!!) the brothy rice trend, here’s what you can do with those pesky leftovers: use the broth, grab that white rice, throw it on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, douse it in the leftover broth and make some crispy oven baked rice at 430 for a good 25 minutes. while that was baking i threw together my salad ingredients, i think this is something the whole family can enjoy but you do you boo, i just made this for lunch becuz work-from-home life! the feta was a last minute addition and i have no regrets, it really added another layer of yumminess in every single bite. i LOVE a loaded (or rather, overloaded) salad like this - one that gets difficult to mix because it’s so frickin big. also one day ill get proper salad tongs. follow along @earth.to.rose for more salad inspo!! my daily salad • big salad bowl • brothy rice trend • rice bowl • salad ideas • healthy eating

i have ZEROOO regrets for splurging on this faucet for our kitchen reno. and let me tell you why: 1. i have a small kitchen. the materials etc could only cost so much - there’s just not a lot of square footage to cover so that means the cost for materials will reflect that. that being said, i chose high quality materials with the understanding that while ill pay more, i still wont be paying THAT much becuz the space isthe space. also, i didnt pay for labour cuz my partner did it all ;) 2. i saw this a lot when i was researching faucets and i hate to say it but “the FaUcEt iS tHe JeWeLrY oF tHe KiTcHeN” OKKKK and it’s actually so true. first of all, we have a serving window which when open, makes the faucet and sink visible from the living room and dining room. i like to leave it open (when the kitchen is clean lol. when its dirty we can SHUT THAT SHIT), and this means i get to stare at my beautiful faucet all day. cuz i also work from home so i literally do see it all day. 3. THIS IS MY FAUCET FOR LIFE (and i will take it w me if i move). I touch it a millions time a day. the kitchen is my domain. im a grown-up. im not renovating my kitchen again for awhile lol (this is real life, so for all i know this could be the ONLY kitchen reno i do in this house). for an ‘appliance’ you use every day, all the time, why not have it one that you absolutely loveeee?? i mean the cost per use is literally pennies. 4. this is a high-end faucet. i didn’t buy an unlacquered brass faucet off etsy (although i almost did, i did a TONNN of research). my faucet is from deVOL and its made by perrin & rowe. they are a premium brand that creates luxury finishes. i didn’t splurge in every part of my kitchen, but the luxury faucet REALLY does make the whole kitchen look more ..welll..luxurious. 5. this faucet literally ties the whole kitchen together. once i got it in my head i needed a faucet this style - i knew going into it i wanted a bridge faucet but i didnt know what type, colour etc - the rest of the kitchen design really came together WITH the faucet. small kitchen renovation • unlacquered brass faucet • kitchen design ideas • small kitchen design • home re
